its present premises since 1990.It
is a multicultural Club within Italian –
Australian origins.
Our
membership is approximately 1000
individuals of which 60% are elderly
citizens over the age of 65. Our members
enjoy social nights on Tuesday and
Friday nights. On a Thursday during the
day our members have the use of all our
facilities. Members enjoy playing bocce,
card games, yoga session, gently
exercise, tombola, billiards and quiet
social interaction. Our members also
enjoy, day trips, extended trips and
also interstate. These are all organized
for the benefit of our members.
Functions and
Dinner Dances are held regularly at the
Club, such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day,
Festas, etc. The Whitehorse Club also
serves the Community at large. The Box
Hill Pensioner Italian Club, the
Blackburn Italian Club, Nunawading
Hungarian Club, Croydon Italian Club,
Hawthorn Club and many other Clubs
within the Whitehorse
area are all regular participants at our
functions. Also the Whitehorse Eagles
Junior Soccer uses our facilities for
indoor practice, pizza nights and
presentation nights.
The Whitehorse
Club is an ideal, quality, well serviced
venue for Community Groups and external
organizations that use our premises for
conferences, conventions, meetings,
seminars, presentations etc... The
Whitehorse Club is one of the few
remaining venues in Melbourne
that does not have poker machines to
enhance its revenue base. Despite this,
the Whitehorse Club continues to grow
financially and has sound monetary
resources. Our projection for the future
is to further our membership base and
commitment to raising revenue, thus
allowing us to expand our facilities.
The Whitehorse Club is a fine
establishment with a prosperous future.
